Spanish remains a language of cultural importance for Amercians. In fact, 29 million U.S. residents above the age of five speak Spanish at home. That's approximately 1 out of every 10 people! The U.S. Census Bureau reports that the nation's Hispanic population is expected to jump to 49.3 million from 38.2 million by 2015. Currently, the Hispanic population makes up 12.5% of the total U.S. population.
